Nettleton Middle School is comprised of two campuses - elementary and junior high. Nettleton Junior High has proudly served to educate young people from the town of Nettleton for many years. The junior high campus, which serves students in grades six through eight, is located on Maple Street. The school boasts dedicated administration and faculty members, reading tutors, electives to try to meet student need, school counseling services, and an after school program for tutoring and enrichment. This school achieved an accreditation level of 4.0 for the second straight year. Both students and staff are working hard with the senior high staff with which they have been merged to maintain a level 5.0 rating. One of the main goals of the faculty and staff of this campus is to prepare students for a positive experience as they enter trade nine and prepare for subject area tests, graduation, and what lies beyond. Nettleton Elementary, located on the main campus, is the original Nettleton High School building. The structure dates back to 1912 and has served many generations of Nettleton graduates. Nettleton Elementary is a bustling hub for our community. We serve 220 fourth and fifth grade students. Our building also houses 52 Headstart students and 109 extended day students. We are proud of the educational opportunities provided to our students. Nettleton Elementary is a Level 4 Exemplary School. Nettleton Elementary School has multiple Internet-ready computers in every classroom. All students participate in the Accelerated Reader program, which enables each child to read at his/her own ability level and interest. We have achieved Model School status for two consecutive years in our Accelerated Reader program. The teachers and staff of Nettleton Elementary are committed to the educational development of each of our students. |
